Keeping your safety top of Mind : covid-19 update


Dear valued guest,


Since the opening of Marmita, we have been advancing with the principal of taking the best possible care for our guests and associates. This enduring value guides us through the difficult challenge of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Due to Covid-19 government restrictions Marmita opened on the 1st of June with smaller capacity and minimum distance of 70cm between tables


Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock and have precautions in place to ensure a healthy and safe visit in our restaurant in Skiathos


Below is an update on what we are doing, keeping your safety top of mind


You should have confidence when you book a table that we are doing everything in our hand to offer you a safe experience. We are closely monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government and public health officials. We are reinforcing these agencies’ recommendations on the appropriate health and safety measures with our own restaurant’s management teams  


Daily, our team will work to ensure that we meet the latest guidance from the WHO on hygiene and cleaning. Our restaurant health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and cover everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications, kitchen preparations and common area cleaning procedures


Gathering Size/Physical Distancing/Workplace Activity

  • Capacity will be limited to 1 pers per m2 (square meter)

  • 0.70-1.70 meters distance between tables  

  • Outdoor operation only

  • Waiting area is marked so physical distancing standards are met


Employee and Customer Safety and Trust

Hygiene and Cleaning/Special Measures

  • Menus is made from a material that can be sanitized after each use. QR reader menus are also available

  • The bill and visitor carts will be delivered contactless inside a box which will be re sanitized after each use

  • The restaurant will close for a minimum of 4 hours daily to deep clean

  • Ensuring that our team members come to work healthy and that while at work, established cleaning and sanitation procedures, like handwashing and cleaning which are already in place, are not only met, but exceeded

  • Using this opportunity to further educate our teams on how to maintain industry-leading operational standards through continual cleaning and sanitization. We have upgraded existing cleaning supplies based on guidance from the local and international health agencies to ensure proper disinfection and have provided staff with necessary tracking and verification tools to confirm compliance

  • A check list is being applied for daily control of health protocols

  • Cash money will be used touchless

  • Stuff cloths will be washed daily, personnel electronic devices will be disinfected before working time


At Marmita we believe that in difficult circumstances such as these, high-quality and secure hosting are even more necessary. Consequently, in these times, we will do our utmost to meet all of your needs and support Marmita family of guests and employees
